From a village request to a finished project
The village decides
The village committee agrees what it needs and what it will give, and the landowners give their consent.
The District Office applies
A field officer fills in the application with the committee, at the site, with photos and the consent letter.
Checked and approved
The District Officer and the Planning Officer check it, and the Director approves it. Larger projects also go to the Commissioner and the Permanent Secretary.
Built together
The works go ahead with the community's own labour and materials, and officers visit to see the progress.
Handed over
The finished works are checked on site and handed to the community to look after.
Projects in each province

Does your community need a project?
Talk to your District Office. The District Officer will help your village committee prepare the application and send it on for appraisal.
